A total of 215,265 people died in July
The agency has divided deaths of people with COVID-19 into 4 categories:
COVID-19 as the primary cause of death – 38,922 cases;
COVID-19 is presumed to be the main cause of death, but more medical research is needed – 5,206 cases;
COVID-19 was a co-morbidity, influenced the development of other diseases, and contributed to complications that precipitated the patient’s death – 1,449 cases;
COVID-19 was a concomitant disease, but did not affect death in any way – 4,844 cases.
