The criminal case was opened after the banner “FSB – the main terrorist” appeared on the fence outside the Chelyabinsk FSB Office on the night of February 14-15, 2018.
The defendants are charged with vandalism and hooliganism motivated by political hatred.
In April 2020, they were detained and sent to a pre-trial detention center.
At the end of July, the preventive measure was changed to house arrest, and in November – to a ban on certain actions.
One of the defendants in the case stated that he was forced to confess under torture. The case was twice dismissed “due to lack of corpus delicti”. In April 2020 the case was reopened and riot police stormed the apartment of the accused and detained them.
