A man was detained in Novosibirsk because of pictures in the social network “VKontakte”

In Novosibirsk, police detained local activist Pavel Matvienko because of the pictures they found on his VKontakte page.

The reason for the detention were two pictures: one of them was about the security forces and the other was critical of Putin. According to the detainee, the police saw “extremism” in the pictures.
Police plan to take him to Central District Court today for a hearing.
