The court of Ufa sentenced 59-year-old pensioner Ilmira Bikbaeva to three years of probation for transferring money to the mother of a political prisoner.
Bikbayeva was found guilty under the article on financing of extremist activity. According to the investigation, having transferred 1,500 rubles ($20.55) in 2018 and 4,500 rubles ($61.65) in 2019 to the mother of a political prisoner, Bikbaeva financed the preparation and commission of “extremist crimes.”
The pensioner did not admit her guilt, stating that she had provided assistance to the mother of the political prisoner because after her son’s arrest she “had no means of subsistence”.
