The European Court of Human Rights awarded more than 500,000 euros to seventeen Russians on allegations of violence by security forces

The European Court of Human Rights awarded more than 500,000 euros to seventeen Russians on complaints of violence by security forces.

The court concluded that the Russian authorities had violated articles on the prohibition of torture and fair trial.

Each of the applicants was awarded between 11,000 and 45,000 euros in moral damages.
