Alexei Navalny won a German award for his contribution to freedom of speech and democracy

Alexey Navalny was awarded the German M100 Media Award for his contribution to the development of freedom of speech, the fight for human rights and the defense of democracy.

The award ceremony took place on October 6. Navalny is in prison, so his associate Leonid Volkov received the award for him.
