Furgal’s case goes to court

The General Prosecutor’s Office has approved the indictment in the criminal case of former Governor of Khabarovsk Territory Sergei Furgal, accused of murder. The case materials have been submitted to the Supreme Court of Russia.

According to the investigation, Furgal created a criminal group that attempted the murder of Alexander Smolsky and also reprisals against businessmen Oleg Bulatov and Yevgeny Zorey.

Furgal pleaded not guilty and demanded that his case be tried by a jury.
