More than 40,000 cases of COVID-19 were detected in Russia for the first time in 24 hours

On October 28, 40,096 new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported in Russia. This is a new daily high since the beginning of the pandemic.

There was also another new daily high of 1,159 deaths from COVID-19.

During the pandemic, 235,057 people died and 7,272,053 were cured, according to official figures.
