The Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor’s Office began an inspection of torture by electricity in Kirov penal colony-6

The Investigative Committee began an inspection after information about the torture of inmates in Kirov Oblast penal colony №6.

On November 19, members of the Human Rights Council came to the colony with an inspection and expressed their complaints about the use of unauthorized measures against the convicts.

Earlier, the human rights project Gulagu.net published video recordings of rape and abuse of inmates in Saratov region’s Prison Hospital No.1.
