The Russian Interior Ministry began checking Netflix for compliance with the law on gay propaganda.

The media reported that the service had received a complaint about “LGBT-themed series” on Netflix with an age restriction of 16+.

In 2020, Netflix had already removed several cartoons featuring LGBT characters from its children’s selection in Russia.
