GitHub fined for Team Navalny’s “smart vote” lists

Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined GitHub 1,000,000 rubles ($13,595) for refusing to remove “Smart Voting” lists.

In September, Roskomnadzor put the domain of “Smart Voting” in the register of banned sites and began to block Navalny’s app.

Google and Apple immediately complied with the agency’s demands and removed Navalny’s app from stores, while Telegram removed the Smart Voting bot.
