During the protests in Kazakhstan, 225 people died. Nearly four and a half thousand people were injured.
This was stated by the Prosecutor General Serik Shalabayev.

Earlier, the Kazakh authorities reported the deaths of 164 people, but then this data was called a technical error.

Shalabayev said that the figures are still being specified and specified that fire was opened “only at terrorists”.

In early January, protests broke out in Kazakhstan over increased fuel prices. In some cities, there were clashes with the police.
