The Central Bank has proposed a complete ban on mining and circulation of cryptocurrencies in Russia.
Under the ban would be the use of cryptocurrencies in the purchase and sale, issue and organization of circulation of cryptocurrencies for crypto-exchanges and exchanges, as well as investments in cryptocurrencies for Russian financial institutions.
The Central Bank proposes to introduce some kind of liability for violation of the ban.
Earlier Bloomberg found out that the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina was persuaded to support a ban on transactions with cryptocurrencies in Russia to block the transfer of funds to the media with the status of a foreign agent and opposition politicians.
Several organizations in Russia, including Alexei Navalny’s team, accept cryptocurrency donations.
