The U.S. and Germany are ready to unite against Russian aggression toward Ukraine

On February 7, US President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz met in Washington to discuss Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Olaf Scholz, said that their countries are “closest allies and are ready to work together intensively,” and reiterated the readiness to impose new sanctions against Russia if it violates Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

The German leader is expected to visit Kiev next week and then Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin already met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Moscow on February 7.
