French police stopped a car rally, the “freedom convoy”. They oppose restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The activists planned to block the roads of Paris, but the police banned them from entering. According to eyewitnesses, the rally consisted of more than five hundred cars. Roadblocks were set up at the entrances to the city. Water cannons were set up on the streets of Paris.

Such actions in Europe began after the protests in Canada.
Protesters in Canada also oppose quarantine measures. They are unhappy with new regulations that require all truck drivers to be vaccinated.
