In China they cut references to lesbians and orgasms from the TV series “Friends”

In China, during the screening of the TV series “Friends” on streaming services cut scenes that referred to the same-sex relationship of the characters.

Also in the Chinese version, the characters’ conversations with sexual overtones were removed, and Ross’ phrase about “multiple female orgasms” was replaced with “endless gossip in women.
The “Friends” series began airing in China on Feb. 11.

In 2016, a law was passed banning storylines involving homosexual relationships. Fans of “Friends” were left unhappy with the show’s censorship
