The leader of the Luhansk People’s Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, made a similar decision. He also banned men aged 18 to 55 from leaving the “republic”.
Local residents continue to leave the self-proclaimed republics. On the previous day, Pushilin and Pasechnik announced mass evacuations to Russia.
According to the authorities of the republics, 28,000 people have already arrived in Russia.
