In the near future, Russia will evacuate the staff of the embassy and consulates general in Ukraine.

The statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry came shortly after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the recognition of the so-called “DPR” and “LPR” within the borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

The agency said in a statement that since 2014, the Russian embassy in Kiev and the consulates general in Odessa, Lviv, and Kharkiv have been repeatedly attacked. And Russian diplomats have received threats of physical violence.
