The U.S. imposes a ban on imports of Russian oil and other energy products. The new sanctions will increase pressure on the Kremlin in response to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
This was announced by the President of the United States, Joe Biden.

According to Biden, Washington’s decision will be another powerful blow to the leadership of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Biden said that the restrictions on Russia will lead to an increase in energy prices in the United States and promised to do everything possible to minimize the costs for Americans.

The United Kingdom also backed restrictions on Moscow. London will refuse to import gas and oil from Russia until the end of the year.

European Union countries are discussing a possible rejection of Russian energy carriers, but no decision has been made yet.
