U.S. President Joe Biden has ordered $200 million in weapons, military training assistance and other aid to Ukraine.

Biden’s order was addressed to U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who is tasked with using Defense Department resources within the framework of the Foreign Assistance Act.

Earlier, the U.S. Congress approved $13.6 billion in emergency aid to Ukraine.
The emergency aid package to Kiev provides $3.5 billion to pay for supplies of military hardware and equipment and $3 billion for the deployment and maintenance of U.S. troops that are redeployed to Eastern Europe.
