The Lefortovo District Court of Moscow sentenced Alexei Navalny to 9 years in a strict regime penal colony on charges of fraud.
The session was in an off-site format in penal colony No. 2 in the Vladimir region.
Navalny was also fined 1.2 million rubles on charges of insulting the court.
The court found that Navalny had spent the money donated to the Anti-Corruption Foundation for his personal needs, thus committing four episodes of fraud on a particularly large scale.
