A missile strike was launched against a railway station in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region on Friday.

At the time of the strike, there were many civilians at the train station seeking to evacuate.
Thirty-nine people were reportedly killed and about 100 wounded.

Representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, in particular the head of the Donetsk regional administration Pavlo Kyrylenko, said that the strike was carried out by an Iskander missile. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky later wrote that it was this missile that struck. He blamed Russian troops for the shelling.

The separatists of the so-called “DNR” claim that the strike was carried out by Ukrainian troops. The Russian Defense Ministry accused Ukraine of provocation, saying that “there were no firing tasks of any kind by the Russian armed forces in the city of Kramatorsk on April 8, and the Tochka-U missiles are used only by the Ukrainian armed forces.

The inscription “For Children” can be seen on the wreckage of the missile.
