The German arms corporation Rheinmetall has announced its readiness to supply Ukraine with heavy weapons, including tanks, against the background of German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock’s statements on Monday that Ukraine needs to be supplied with heavy weapons.

According to media reports, we are talking about several dozen “Leopard 1” tanks.
The condition for deliveries is the approval of the German government, which is not yet available.

Last week it was reported that a group of T-72 tanks, previously in service with the Czech Republic, would be delivered to Ukraine. Negotiations are also underway on deliveries of self-propelled howitzers from Slovakia.

The Ukrainian authorities insist that they need a fuller range of weapons, including heavy armored vehicles and aircraft.
