Earlier, the Maykop City Soup found Magomedov guilty under the article on carrying out missionary activities in violation of the law (Article 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
The volunteer was detained in October 2021 at the central market, but the protocol was drawn up in November, based on a report from an employee of the E Center.
During the hearing of the case in the first instance, Magomedov maintained his innocence, emphasizing that the As-Salam newspaper was a registered media outlet.
However, the judge ruled that the As-Salam newspaper cannot be distributed by a person who is not an official representative of a religious organization, which means that the volunteer has violated the law.
During the appeal, Magomedov pointed out that initially his case was to be considered by the world court, and not by the city court.
As a result, the Supreme Court canceled the imposed fine, but due to the fact that the protocol was drawn up with violations of the statute of limitations.
In September 2021, Magomedov was already fined under an article on violation of missionary activity, also because of the distribution of the As-Salam newspaper.
Then he was fined 20 thousand rubles.
