Bloggers and Chechen human rights organizations spoke about the kidnapping of Chechen residents to be sent to the war against Ukraine.

Opposition blogger Islam Belokiev speaks of dozens of confirmed cases of abductions.

The opposition movement 1ADAT reported “hundreds of kidnapped people from various districts” of Chechnya. A spokesman for the movement said that about 100 people were being held in one of the illegal prisons.

Human rights organizations claim that the abductees have been forced to sign a contract under threat of indefinite detention in “secret” prisons.

Among those forced to go to Ukraine are people with disabilities.
