Indonesian President Joko Widodo is going to call on Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky for a dialogue about peace. He stated this before his visit to Germany for the G7 summit.
After Germany, Widodo is going to visit Kyiv and then Moscow. “My mission is to invite the President of Ukraine, President Zelensky, to open space for dialogue in the context of peace,” Widodo said.
Earlier, Widodo said that Vladimir Putin was going to come to the G20 summit, which will be held in Bali in the fall. Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow was going to prepare for the G20 summit, but it was too early to talk about the details. Bloomberg wrote that some countries are putting pressure on Widodo for inviting Putin to the summit and demanding that Zelensky be invited to at least some meetings within the summit.
