Residential building in Kyiv was shelled

Kyiv was subjected to rocket fire. The shell hit a nine-story residential building in the Shevchenko district, the top three floors were destroyed.

Explosions sounded around 6.30 am, air defense shot down one missile.

As a result of the shelling of a residential building, at least one person was killed, two were hospitalized. The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, said that a seven-year-old girl was pulled out from under the rubble. Now rescuers are trying to pull her mother out, she was reportedly crushed by a concrete slab. Under the rubble, according to Klitschko, people can remain.

The Strana UA publication notes that the Artem military plant, which is located nearby, could have been a missile target.
