Georgia will temporarily close its land border with Russia due to heavy rains, according to the country's Ministry of Finance.
Due to bad weather , the Terek overflowed its banks and damaged an 80-meter section of the road on the 136th kilometer of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway. Until the road is repaired, the movement of all types of transport is prohibited there.
On the eve of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said that the exit from North Ossetia through the checkpoint "Upper Lars" is prohibited due to rain in Georgia.
Earlier it was reported that the volume of money transfers from Russia to Georgia reached a record level in May. Experts attribute this to the mass migration of Russians to Georgia after the start of the war.
