The founder and shareholder of the System Capital Management (SCM) group, Rinat Akhmetov, has filed a lawsuit against Russia with the European Court of Human Rights. He is demanding compensation for gross violations of his property rights in Mariupol during the war.
“As the owner of Azovstal and many other industrial enterprises that have become the target of the Russian armed forces invading Ukraine, Mr. Akhmetov is doing everything possible to hold Russia accountable for the destruction that it sows on the territory of Ukraine,” the press release said.
