Politician Ilya Yashin was detained under the administrative article 19.3 “on disobedience to the police,” said his lawyer Vadim Prokhorov.
According to Prokhorov, he never managed to get to Yashin at the Luzhniki police station. The lawyer also added that the trial in the case of Yashin should take place on June 28.
Yashin's friend Alexandra Astakhova also reported that the police department officers did not allow the transfer of food for a long time: “We waited until everyone had dispersed, then I was able to transfer the bag with food and hygiene essentials. But whether my package will reach Ilya Yashin, we will find out tomorrow at the trial. Alas, parcels do not always reach the detainees,” Astakhova writes.
Earlier it became known that Ilya Yashin was detained while walking in a park in Moscow. This was reported by journalist Irina Babloyan in her Telegram channel.
“Walked with my friend Ilya Yashin in the park, in Khamovniki. The police came up and took Ilya to no one knows where, ”she wrote, posting a photo in which the politician was being detained. Babloyan claims that there was no "disobedience to the police" at the time of the arrest.
On April 12, politician and journalist Vladimir Kara-Murza was arrested for 15 days under the article on “disobedience to the police”. The protocol stated that “the citizen, at the sight of the police officers, behaved inappropriately, changed the trajectory of movement, quickened his pace and tried to hide when asked to stop.”
On April 22, a criminal case was opened against Kara-Murza for "fake news" about the Russian army (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Now Kara-Murza is in jail.
On May 25, Ilya Yashin was fined 30,000 rubles under the article on “discrediting the Russian army” for publishing a 1969 photograph of protests against the Vietnam War. He posted the photo on his Telegram channel on April 7.
