Local assets of Rosneft, Gazprom and Rosatom arrested in Ukraine – SBU

A Ukrainian court has arrested local assets of Rosneft, Gazprom and Rosatom worth ₴2.1 billion (more than $71 million). This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

On her initiative, the corporate rights and real estate of 11 enterprises were arrested, the ultimate beneficiaries of which are Russian state corporations. Also, the arrest was imposed on 46 properties belonging to them.

“In the course of operational and investigative actions, it was established that part of the profits of these enterprises went to the preparation and conduct of the aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, as well as to finance the activities of sabotage and reconnaissance groups,” the SBU said in a statement.

Earlier, the assets of two unnamed Russian businessmen were arrested in Ukraine. The first is listed as one of the largest mineral water producers in Ukraine, and the second as a businessman engaged in illegal mining. Probably, in the first case, we are talking about Mikhail Fridman, co-owner and chairman of the supervisory board of the Alfa Group consortium, and in the second, about the beneficiary of the Unigran mining group of companies, Ukrainian businessman Igor Naumts. According to Stopkor, he has had a Russian passport for a long time.
