Mundep Oleksiy Gorinov, who called for stopping the war in Ukraine, was sentenced to 7 years in prison

The municipal deputy of the Krasnoselsky district, Aleksey Gorinov, was sentenced to seven years in a general regime colony under the article on the dissemination of “fake news” about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces (part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the correspondent of the publication "Novaya Gazeta. Europe" from the courtroom.

Earlier, the prosecutor at a meeting of the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow requested seven years in a general regime colony for Gorinov. At a meeting of the council of deputies, Gorinov said that it was necessary to stop the war in Ukraine and withdraw Russian troops from there. Together with Gorinov, his colleague from the municipality Elena Kotenochkina, who left Russia, is involved in the case. She was arrested in absentia.

Gorinov has been in jail since April. On April 26, the Soviet of Deputies of the Krasnoselsky District of Moscow and Gorinov's apartment were searched.

Earlier, Leonid Vasyukevich, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Primorye from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, during the session said that a group of deputies of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation had drawn up an appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin demanding to stop the "military operation" in Ukraine and withdraw troops. According to him, the appeal was signed by four deputies: Natalya Kochugova, Alexander Sustov, Gennady Shulga and Vasyukevich himself. A video of his appeal was distributed on Telegram, but later almost all channels deleted it.

“We understand that if our country does not stop the military operation, there will be even more orphans in our country. During the military operation, young people who could be of great benefit to our country are dying and becoming disabled. (…) The continuation of the military operation will lead to an inevitable increase in the number of dead and wounded servicemen. We demand the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine. We demand an end to hostilities,” the deputy said.

Later, MP Natalya Kochugova told The Insider that she did not sign the appeal voiced by Vasyukevich, and did not even read it.
