On the evening of July 9, the Russian military launched a missile attack from Uragans on a five-story building in Chasovoy Yar, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region. This was announced by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration (OVA) Pavel Kirilenko.

According to him, two entrances to the house were completely destroyed. As a result of the shelling, at least 34 people were trapped under the rubble. Among them is a 9-year-old child. As of the morning of July 10, 6 dead and 5 wounded were able to get to the surface.

Since the first day of the war, the Russian side has been claiming that it is only attacking the military infrastructure of Ukraine. In fact, it regularly shells civilian targets. So on July 3, the Russian military attacked Slavyansk. The mayor of the city, Vadim Lyakh, said that it was "the largest shelling of the city in recent times." According to him, there are many killed and wounded. The speaker of the Donetsk OVA Tatyana Ignatchenko said that at least 6 people were killed and 15 others were injured.
