The court found a teenager from Volgograd guilty of preparing a shooting at a school. He will be sent to a “special type hospital”

The court found the Volgograd teenager Yaroslav Inozemtsev guilty of preparing a school shooting, the verdict has not yet entered into force and can be appealed. Sota reports .

The judge considered that 16-year-old Inozemtsev was socially dangerous, and decided to send the teenager to a "special type hospital for compulsory medical measures." Until the appeal, he will continue to be prohibited from certain actions with a special bracelet.

Inozemtsev's mother told Sota in January that her son was not being released from the psychiatric hospital despite a court order. On January 17, the court released Yaroslav under a ban on certain actions, but they refused to let him go from the hospital in Maly Mishkin, Rostov Region. The employees argued that it was necessary to wait until the court order came into force – 10 days.

According to investigators, Inozemtsev was preparing an attack on the school, including one of the students with whom he allegedly had a conflict. The FSB reported that they found an improvised explosive device, Molotov cocktails, components for explosives and edged weapons in the teenager. The teenager admitted to possessing explosives, but explained that he planned to use the arsenal solely for recreational purposes. As of 2019, he has not attended school and has been homeschooled due to health issues.

The teenager was detained on June 11, 2020, when he was 14 years old. Inozemtsev was sent to a psycho-neurological dispensary on November 24, 2021 at the request of the investigator. He justified the decision by the failure of the bracelet with which the teenager was under house arrest. The bracelet allegedly showed that Inozemtsev was on the school grounds near the house at night.
