Putin fired Rogozin from the post of General Director of Roscosmos

Vladimir Putin dismissed Dmitry Rogozin from the post of head of Roscosmos.

Yury Borisov has been appointed General Director of the corporation. Previously, he served as Deputy Prime Minister.

The day before, Meduza, citing sources, reported that Rogozin could soon go to work in the presidential administration the day before. This information was also confirmed to the publication by an unnamed acquaintance of Rogozin.

One of the sources claimed that Rogozin was being considered as a candidate for the post of head of the Presidential Administration. Since August 2016, the Presidential Administration has been headed by Anton Vaino, and now he can be “transferred to work through the diplomatic line.” Also, according to the publication, the option is being considered in which Rogozin will be one of the Kremlin curators of the "DPR" and "LPR", as well as other occupied territories of Ukraine. The head of Roscosmos can get the position of assistant to the president or deputy head of the Presidential Administration.

All three sources said that Rogozin "is in favor with the president." “The President loves him – and has long,” said one of them.
