The Russian Defense Ministry acknowledged the Kalibr missile attack on Vinnytsia on July 14, saying that a "meeting" of the Ukrainian Air Force Command (Air Force) with representatives of foreign arms suppliers was held at the House of Officers. The message appeared in the department's Telegram channel.
“At the time of the strike, a meeting was held at this military facility on the transfer of the next batch of aircraft and weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the organization of the repair of the Ukrainian aviation fleet. As a result of the strike, the participants in the meeting were destroyed.”
Earlier it became known that among the victims of the attack on Vinnitsa was a musician from the team of the Ukrainian singer ROXOLANA, who was supposed to perform a concert in the House of Officers. Her concert was scheduled for July 14 as part of a charity tour, while propagandist Margarita Simonyan claimed that "Nazis" were allegedly based in the local House of Officers. The artist said on her Instagram page that at the time of the impact, her team was in the city center: one musician died, the other is in intensive care.
Ukrainian authorities reported a strike on the center of Vinnytsia by Russian Kalibr cruise missiles on July 14. According to the latest data, the death toll has risen to 23 people. Among the dead are three children, including four-year-old Liza, whose mother took her away from Kiev at the beginning of the war to save her from shelling. The woman blogged and posted photos with her daughter throughout the war.
Since the first day of the war, the Russian side has been claiming that it is only attacking the military infrastructure of Ukraine. In fact, it regularly shells civilian targets. So on July 3, the Russian military attacked Slavyansk. The mayor of the city, Vadim Lyakh, said that it was "the largest shelling of the city in recent times." Also, Russia regularly attacks Nikolaev. According to the mayor of the city Alexander Senkevich, during the war, Russian troops caused damage to Nikolaev in the amount of 633 million hryvnias ($21.4 million).
