EU to allocate another €500 million for military assistance to Ukraine

The European Union (EU) will allocate another €500 million for military assistance to Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the EU foreign policy Josep Borrell, quoted by TASS.

According to him, the war in Ukraine will continue, and the EU will continue to support the country with everything necessary.

The amount allocated from the European Arms Fund for Ukraine will grow to €2.5 billion.

Earlier in July, US President Joe Biden announced an additional $400 million military assistance package for Ukraine. It included four HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and ammunition, three tactical vehicles, 155-mm artillery ammunition, explosive ammunition , counter-battery systems, spare parts for military equipment and other equipment. According to the US Department of Defense, the country has already allocated about $8 billion in security assistance.
