Vice-Rector of the Customs Academy Kerefov died in jail. He was accused of selling drugs

Vice-Rector of the Russian Customs Academy Zalim Kerefov died in the SIZO-1 near Moscow in Noginsk. This is reported by RIA Novosti and TASS with reference to a lawyer. State media and Telegram channels claim that he committed suicide, a suicide note was found in the cell.

Kerefov was detained on July 5 in his office. On July 7, the Lyubertsy Court of the Moscow Region chose a measure of restraint against him in the form of detention. The vice-rector was accused of selling drugs. According to the investigation, the vice-rector "created a wide network for the sale of drugs, in which he involved, among other things, cadets of the academy."

The FSB also published a video in which the operatives descend into a certain basement, where there are metal barrels. The operator speaks off-screen about the bad smell, but does not show any drugs. What kind of building in the video is also not clear.
