Officials of the Presidential Administration and employees of the FSO have reduced the period of mandatory quarantine before meeting with Vladimir Putin from 14 to 10 days, writes Baza. According to the publication, some of them spent 250 days a year in quarantine at a hotel in Sochi, dozens of workers divorced their spouses due to long separations.
For almost a year and a half, employees of the Presidential Administration and the FSO, who work with the president, were in quarantine in one of the local sanatoriums. They left this base only for events, and then returned back, after 90 days they were replaced by another employee. Employees were forbidden to go out into the city, they walked around the territory of the sanatorium and created a "small city" there with a hairdresser, a games room with a prefix and a coffee shop in their rooms. It was also allowed to deliver food and goods from marketplaces to the sanatorium (it was forbidden during quarantines in Moscow). In addition, a shooting range, martial arts training and a fitness room were opened at the quarantine base.
Baza claims that during the quarantine period, several married couples formed at the hotel, and one AP employee married an employee of the FSO.
In April, the Proekt newspaper published an investigation into the health of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which revealed that he regularly takes deer antler baths and has his own medical team that accompanies him on all trips. Putin's most frequent companions are otolaryngologists Alexei Shcheglov and Igor Esakov, as well as surgeon Yevgeny Selivanov. Shcheglov flew to Putin in Sochi 59 times in four years and stayed with him for 282 days. Selivanov – 35 times and 166 days. Selivanov is a surgeon specializing in oncology and defended his dissertation on the topic “Peculiarities of diagnosis and surgical treatment of elderly and senile patients with thyroid cancer”.
In February, Baza, citing sources, reported that Russian officials close to the president had to donate feces several times a week due to "increased security measures." Due to quarantine restrictions, many employees are forced to spend almost the entire year in quarantine.
