Bastrykin demanded to open a criminal case against the Novosibirsk deputy Pirogova for a post about the Russian military who died in Ukraine

The head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia Alexander Bastrykin demanded "immediately" to open a criminal case against the deputy of the Novosibirsk City Council Helga Pirogova because of her statements about the Russian military who died in Ukraine.

“On behalf of the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation A. I. Bastrykin, the progress and results of the investigation were put under control in the central office of the department,” the message on the website of the Investigative Committee says.

Pirogova was detained on the evening of July 21 in Novosibirsk at the exit of a bar where a charity auction was held to raise money for fines. A protocol was drawn up against her for “discrediting” the Russian army (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The reason for the detention was Pirogova's tweet dated July 15. The MP commented on the Mediazona text about Russians who signed a short-term contract and died in Ukraine.

“It’s simply inexpressible, I want to revive them all, hit them hard on the cheeks and let them go back to the graves. And then in vain, or something, they arranged such a luxurious funeral, ”she wrote.

The day before the arrest, on July 20, Bastrykin instructed to check this tweet. A denunciation of Pirogova was written by the former speaker of the Novosibirsk Parliament Andrei Panferov and several other deputies of the legislative assembly of the Novosibirsk region from the Liberal Democratic Party and the City Council of Novosibirsk, who are associated with State Duma deputy Dmitry Savelyev. The girl was released from the police on the same evening, July 21. According to Pirogova, she was not summoned for interrogation, she does not know about the initiation of a case.
