Vedomosti: Mango will resume work in Russia under the control of a Turkish company

The Spanish retailer Mango will resume work in Russia under the control of the Turkish franchisee Fiba Retail, Vedomosti writes , citing its sources. According to the publication, the retailer's new outlets will open on the site of Marks & Spencer stores, which were developed by the Turkish company. The number of stores is still unknown.

Previously, Fiba Retail operated 48 Russian Marks & Spencer stores, 33 of them in Moscow and 5 in St. Petersburg. After the start of the war, the British brand left Russia.

In June, Mango announced it was ending direct sales in Russia due to "international geopolitical uncertainty due to the situation in Ukraine."

According to the Spanish newspaper El Pais, Mango has agreed with several partners in Russia to transfer 55 stores, which will then become franchises. The company will also retain 800 jobs.
