The Russian army in the war against Ukraine loses hundreds of soldiers wounded and killed every day. This is reported by Reuters, citing a source in the US Department of Defense.
The US estimates that Russia's losses in Ukraine were about 15,000 killed and about 45,000 wounded. Such data are provided by CIA director William Burns. A Reuters source told Reuters that among those killed were not only lieutenants and captains, but also hundreds of colonels and "many" generals.
According to him, the Ukrainian military also destroyed more than 100 "high-value" Russian targets on the territory of Ukraine. Among them are command posts, ammunition depots and air defense facilities.
According to the Ukrainian authorities, since the beginning of the invasion, Russia has lost more than 39,000 soldiers killed. The Russian Ministry of Defense does not publicly keep such statistics and last reported on losses on March 25. Then the authorities reported the death of 1351 servicemen. At the same time, data from open sources confirm the death of more than 4,000 Russian military in Ukraine.
