YouTube removed the anti-war series “Masyanya”

YouTube removed the 162nd episode of the animated series "Masyanya" "St. Mariuburg".

As Oleg Kuvaev, the creator of Masyanya, writes on his Facebook, this happened due to a complaint from a certain Sobolev. He claims that St. Isaac's Cathedral in "St. Mariuburg" is copied from his personal photograph.

“Although there is just a frontal view of Isaac, anyone who photographed him can complain that way. That is, the claim is extremely doubtful, ”Kuvaev writes. He also notes that YouTube not only temporarily restricted access to or issued a warning, but immediately removed the video from the platform.

According to Kuvaev, supporters of the Kremlin could have informed on the Masyanya series. According to her plot, China attacked Russia, and the main character of the animated series, Masyanya, is forced to hide in basements and bomb shelters with her family. At the end of the episode, it turns out that it was just Masyanya's dream, inspired by Russia's war against Ukraine. After waking up, she addresses the audience and encourages them to show compassion for the people of Ukraine.

About "St. Mariuburg" and why "Masyanya" so abruptly changed the tone of the story and started talking about politics, Kuvaev spoke on The Insider news broadcast.
