In Sochi, a state of emergency (ES) was declared due to bad weather, over the past three days, destruction has appeared in all areas of the city, one woman died. This was stated by the mayor of the city Alexei Kopaygorodsky in the Telegram channel.
According to him, the authorities will promptly form payments to all victims.
“The situation is very serious. The central region suffered the most. In the modern history of Sochi, an incident of this magnitude has never happened in this part of the resort.”
The mayor added that now it is known about one dead woman, but there could be many more victims. Several dozen people, including 10 children, were rescued from water streams on the streets of the city, Kopaygorodsky emphasized. Now in Sochi, emergency and restoration work continues. Swimming is prohibited on all beaches in Sochi. According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region, until the end of the day on July 24, the danger of the formation of tornadoes over the Black Sea remains in the Magri-Veseloye section.
