More than a thousand cases for collaborationism have been opened in Ukraine since the beginning of the war – National Police of Ukraine

During the war in Ukraine, more than a thousand cases were initiated for cooperation with Russia. This was stated by the head of the National Police of Ukraine Igor Klymenko on his Facebook page.

According to him, 174 people received a notification of suspicion of collaborationism. Also, the Ukrainian police detained more than 1,530 people involved in sabotage activities.

In early July, counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained an assistant to a deputy from the Servant of the People party on charges of collaborating with Russian intelligence. He has been charged with treason. The name of the SBU official is not mentioned.

The official, whose name has not been released, is accused of regularly passing intelligence to Moscow regarding international cooperation, Ukraine's internal political course, and the course of the antiterrorist operation in Donbass. For this, according to the investigation, every month he received from the Russian special services a reward in the amount of $1.5 to $4 thousand.
