The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) fined Google 2 billion rubles. The reason, according to the agency, was the abuse of YouTube's dominant position regarding the blocking of accounts.
According to the FAS, Google's rules related to blocking are "opaque, biased and unpredictable."
“This leads to sudden blocking and deletion of user accounts without warning and justification for action. The FAS Russia has established that such behavior infringes on the interests of users, and also limits competition in related markets,” the FAS said in a statement.
On July 18, the World Court of the Tagansky District of Moscow imposed a turnover fine of 21 billion 77 million rubles on Google for refusing to remove prohibited content. It is clarified that we are talking about “inaccurate information about the course of the special operation” posted on YouTube.
