Iran to repair Russian planes and supply parts for them – Mehr

Iran has signed a cooperation agreement with Russia, according to which it will be able to supply parts and equipment for Russian aircraft, as well as carry out their repair and technical support. This is reported by the Mehr agency with reference to the Civil Aviation Authority of Iran.

The agreement was signed during a visit by an unnamed Russian Deputy Minister of Transport to Iran at a meeting with the head of Iran's Civil Aviation Authority, Mohammad Mohammadi-Bakhsh.

The parties also signed an agreement to increase the number of flights between Iran and Russia up to 35 per week.

In the face of sanctions pressure, Russia has found an ally in the person of Iran. Countries not only agree on an increase in flights, but also, probably, on the supply of military equipment for the war against Ukraine. So, in mid-July, CNN found out that Russian representatives visited Iran's central airfield at least twice in the past month to inspect combat drones.
