Court sentences activist to 6.5 years in prison for video with “trial” of Putin

The court sentenced former activist of Navalny's headquarters, Sergei Komandirov, to 6.5 years in prison for posts on social networks, Nestka writes . He posted on his VKontakte page a parody video in which Vladimir Putin is being "tried".

According to the publication, Komandirov's mother and many listeners are crying in the courtroom. Hearing the verdict, Komandirov said: "I will open myself."

Commander was detained in the fall of 2021. A criminal case was opened against him for acquittal and incitement to terrorism, based on the publication of a video with a fictional trial of Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov and Igor Sechin, who are sentenced to death. Added a comment to the post with the video Komandirov calling to support the author of the video Karim Yamadayev with money.

The UK considered that the video contains "signs of justification and the formation of an ideology of terrorism", as well as "the conviction that it is permissible to carry out terrorist activities."
