The “DPR” claims that as a result of a strike on a prison in Yelenovka, 40 Ukrainian prisoners were killed, another 130 were injured

The authorities of the “DPR” claim that Ukraine hit the prison in Yelenovka, where Ukrainian prisoners were kept, as a result of which 40 people were killed and another 130 were injured. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the "deputy minister of information" of the so-called republic Daniil Bezsonov.

As stated in the "DPR", shells of the HIMARS system hit the prison barracks.

“The military-political leadership of Ukraine apparently decided to get rid of unnecessary ballast. Now these bastards will still have to be protected from shelling,” Bezsonov said.

The Ukrainian authorities have not yet commented on this message.

Earlier it was reported that defenders of the Azovstal plant who surrendered, including soldiers of the Azov regiment, were being held in the former penal colony in Yelenovka. " Mediazona.Belarus " and " Present Time " spoke with volunteers released from Yelenovka, who told about the conditions in which prisoners are kept there. They said that they were "surrounded by dirt, decay and piercing cold every second." In some cells, people had to take turns sleeping on the concrete floor, as there was no space. Many were sick, but there were no doctors or medicines in the colony. Painkillers were not given. There was not enough food. According to the volunteers, in the first weeks they were given about 150 grams of bread a day, as well as "boiled pasta, some small sea fish." Drinking water was also scarce. It was supposed to be 150-200 milliliters per person per day. The sewer was almost non-existent. Women were not given pads. Some of the women were pregnant.
