For the first time in Belarus, sticker sets for Telegram were recognized as extremist. Information about this appeared in the Republican List of Extremist Materials on the website of the Ministry of Information.
It states that the stickers "Sasha 3%" and Luka were recognized as extremist by the decision of the court of the Central District of Minsk on July 25. Both sets are dedicated to Alexander Lukashenko. In particular, the first plays on a joke that became popular before the presidential elections in Belarus in 2020. Then several Belarusian media suggested that readers choose a candidate for whom they would vote. In at least two such polls, Lukashenka scored only 3%.
After the 2020 protests, Belarus began to recognize as extremist everything that runs counter to Lukashenka's policies. Thus, the portal Zerkalo.io was banned – a new project of the former Tut.by team, which journalists launched after the blocking, the Tribuna portal, which, in particular, covered the case of Kristina Timanovskaya, the website of the Belsat TV channel, the humorous Telegram channel "Tea with raspberry varennem" , Nexta film “Lukashenko. Bonanza ”, the Nexta logo, the hashtag “#freebelarus” and even the social networks of the Ukrainian politician Aleksey Arestovich.
